Between 2008 and 2012 all television services in the UK will switch to a digital television service.

This will happen region by region and at some point in 2011 it will happen in the Anglian region affecting Northamptonshire.

What this means is that the old broadcasting signal “Analogue” will be replaced with a digital signal. Any television set not converted when the switchover occurs will no longer receive television. The bad news is that if you currently have an analogue television signal it will need replacing in order to be digital ready. The good news is that once replaced you will have access to a lot more television and radio channels than ever before.
